About CarBuzz
Founded in 2010, CarBuzz was the vision of a team of gearheads with a desire to share their passion for cars with the world. What resulted was the world's premier car-related news app available on both Android and iOS devices. As the app was joined by a website and its support base grew, with readers spanning all parts of the globe, including North America, the United Kingdom and Europe, Asia, and Australia, so too did the team of enthusiasts and writers dedicated to sourcing the best car content on the web.
We constantly keep track of the industry's latest happenings in the world of automakers, sports cars, muscle cars, supercars, trucks and SUVs, off- roading, and everything in between.
Features are posted daily focusing on automotive history and culture, comparing newly revealed vehicles, aftermarket tuners, and car buying tips. Our team of writers also prepare researched opinion pieces based on their extensive insider knowledge gained through years of experience.
More than this, our complete CarBuzz Buyer's Guide and BuzzScore rating system give you an in-depth look at every facet of every car available on the American market, allowing you to make an informed buying decision when the time comes to purchase a new vehicle.
We spend hours behind the steering wheels of every car, truck, and SUV available to provide you with detailed information and analysis, while our comprehensive reviews cover all aspects of how a new car drives and behaves, how reliable it is, and how safe it is for your family.
Search and compare cars against their direct rivals or any other model you might be interested in, to find out which is cheapest to run, the most powerful, the most practical, and the safest.
Whether you're a first-time buyer or a passionate gearhead, CarBuzz has you covered with relevant buying advice, comprehensive reviews, the hottest scoops, and the best car content on the web.

Roger Biermann is an automotive journalist of 11 years and is now Managing Editor at CarBuzz. Roger launched his career as an automotive journalist by test driving cars at dealerships and putting his thoughts online before moving to CarBuzz full-time in 2019. Growing up with a Jeep Wrangler and then a Nissan Sentra in the garage, Jacob experienced the opposite ends of motoring at a young age. Sebastian is a multi-faceted automotive enthusiast who enjoys throwing a BMW into a corner sideways just as much as he enjoys cruising down the highway in a slammed Volkswagen that is too low to be legal. Expect brutal honesty and a touch of sarcasm, fostered by years of running an online enthusiasts’ forum. His current daily driver and project is an E82 BMW 135i, his idea of a modern E30. Yet much of his experience in journalism, mechanics, and racing was fostered by the Volkswagen Club of South Africa, the oldest and biggest VW enthusiasts’ club on the African continent and a collective that he had the pleasure of running as chairman.

With an equal appreciation for daily runabouts and luxury barges, the unlikely combination of a dreary 1980s Mazda 626 and a luxurious BMW 7 Series from the same era are the two cars that cemented his passion for all things automotive as a child. Today, anything with a six-cylinder engine and a missing pair of rear doors is the sweet spot for instantly capturing his attention, but essentially, four wheels and an engine are all it takes. Karl joined the CarBuzz family in 2019, and has covered everything from model reviews to breaking news stories as Senior Editor. His focus now is on producing evergreen content that will stand the test of time.

Cobus joined the CarBuzz team in 2021 as an Associate Editor and puts his 25 years in public relations, editing, copywriting, and journalism to good use to write about an obsession that started when he first upended his stroller as a baby to play with its wheels. When Cobus isn’t behind his computer writing about cars, he’s out scouting great mountain passes or scouring the classifieds for some 30-year-old banger. Or borderline obsessively changing his car’s oil too frequently in the name of preventative maintenance.
