A Toronto-based tuning firm, INKAS, just announced that it has created the very first armored 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S600. From the outside, this opulent and timeless flagship sedan remains virtually unchanged. This time, however, there's a lot more going on behind the scenes. Touting "a high level of ballistic protection," this sedan is about to become the luxury barge of choice for potentially at-risk heads of state, paranoid billionaires, and at least one world-famous rapper who has "gotta lotta enemies."

So what differentiates this example from other Maybachs? If you can stomach the $500,000 USD price tag for this disgustingly lavish super-sedan, INKAS will fill your Maybach with a laundry list of ostentatious safety features. This includes run-flat tires, a smoke-screen system that seems like it should be in a James Bond movie and a fire-suppression system that runs not only through the engine bay but the entire vehicle. If you decide it's time to fork up half a million dollars for these sort of features, you'll also have the new Maybach delivered to you home by a company representative who will teach you about the numerous safety features of the car and teach you (or your chauffeur) defensive driving techniques.
