Why the Mini JCW is the Ideal Euro Road Trip Ride

Forget the Eurorail. A Mini is way more fun.

If anyone has ever backpacked their way through Europe, chances are your main mode of transportation was the Eurorail. Yes, a train. But unlike in the US, these rail lines go just about everywhere and run all the time. Amsterdam to Paris in about five hours? No problem. Take the Eurorail. But then again, wouldn't traveling through Europe be even more fun in something like a Mini Cooper JCW? Aren't car people supposed to enjoy driving more than taking trains?

Oh, we certainly think so, as does the crew of XCAR. With a challenge of making it from Lisbon, Portugal, to London, England in just 24 hours, a pair of pub-seeking Brits hit the road in the hot hatch.
